During the last week of January 2008 the team from Pegasus Memorial made their annual short stay trip to London.
On Monday January 28th they were visited by Barry Tappenden, the founder of Project 65, and Danny Greeno,
the Chairman of the project - they spent some time sharing their vision of the project to the Museum team and much
headway was made towards the planning of the events in June 2009.
The next day, my wife, Diane, my friends Colin Evans and Sue Croucher travelled with me to Downing Street
where we met with Dean Croucher and the Pegasus Memorial Team.
Dean gave us all a very interesting guided tour of Downing Street and the
surrounding areas. Dean is an armed officer responsible for the protection of 10 Downing Street. The very informative
and interesting tour lasted a couple of hours.

Afterwards we took some drinks on the Tattershall pub, moored on the
Thames opposite the London Eye.
After a brief rest, in our visitor's suite at the Union Jack Club, we ended up at a very nice Cuban restuarant
in Waterloo.
The team spent the last day of their stay travelling to the Ox and Bucks museum in Oxford, leaving London
on the Thursday - hopefully refreshed before their ten month stint working at the museum.
